When I just moved out to California from New York in 1968, I worked for a subsidiary of Mercury Records called Pulsar Records headed by my Mom's good friend, Irwin Garr. I made $35.00 a week as an errand boy for Graham Bond and Malcolm (Mac) Rebennack a/k/a Dr. John.
